Knife-making  ​-  Summer Day Camp

Days:  Monday - Friday

Times:

  • Flexible Drop-off  8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. 
  • Camp hours  9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Flexible Pick-up 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • After Camp 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.​​ (pre-registration required, available at check-out, learn more HERE)

Drop-off & Pick-up Location:  Haw Creek Commons, next to Haw Creek Elementary (Google Maps link)

  • Haw Creek Commons is both the drop-off & pick-up location, as well as the location for the camp itself (e.g., children will not be transported via passenger van)[subject to change].

Tuition:  $384 per child and includes all program materials

  • Discounts available and are listed on the main Summer Camp page.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at registration to secure a spot in camp
  • Campers must arrive each day with a backpack containing lunch, snack, a full water bottle, and outdoor gear appropriate for the weather.

Knife-making

Grades 6-10      July 13-17, 2020

Apprentice to the ages old craft of knife-making.  Using a variety of both blacksmithing and metal shop tools, students will take what was an unremarkable hunk of steel and shape it into a functional tool that will serve them for many years to come.
